Under 7's

Cameron (1)
Reece (2)
Toby (1)

This was easily the Under 7's toughest match yet and was played on a HUGE pitch. Norton started confidently though, with Toby scoring in the first couple of minutes. Norton were on top in the first quarter with Ollie barely having to make a save. In the second and third quarters we were tested more and some legs started to show tiredness. Often we would do all the hard work and then give the ball away. There was plenty of good passing but also too many times when we didn't look up to see who was there. Ollie was kept very busy and impressed the Brinklow coaches with his bravery. The last quarter saw Norton back on top with a fantastic goal and a superb penalty from Reece, and a goal mouth scramble well finished by Cameron.

Player of the match goes to Cameron. It was his first game for Norton and he threw himself into it heart and soul. There were also fine performances from Thomas and Sam on the right and Toby and William on the left. Jack and Harry were solid as ever at the back but both pushed up when they could. Some nifty footwork from Connor nearly resulted in a goal and Harvey battled tirelessly with his usual fighting spirit.

Overall a good match and it was nice to have so much space to use the ball in, but plenty of things to work on in training.
